Grenade Launcher

Grenade Launcher

The Grenade Launcher is one of your combat features among other Tactical Technologies in the Evolution: Battle for Utopia game.

Description

Gives the shotgun the ability to launch a grenade which causes the same amount of damage as your equipped Shotgun. The launched grenade acts like a Frag Grenade, inflicting 100% of its damage to the target and 30% splash damage to enemies adjacent to the target.

Grenade Launcher ButtonYou can use an Grenade Launcher Shot in a 45 seconds after beginning of the battle by pressing button at the right of your Shotgun’s image in a bottom left corner of the screen.

The Grenade Launcher uses 2 shotgun shells per use.

It has an independent cool-down timer lasting 45 seconds, after which you can use the Grenade Launcher again.

Upgrades

After you get the base Grenade Launcher technology, you can upgrade it at the Research Center. Currently level 4 is the highest level you can obtain.

Features

Attempting the Grenade Launcher sometimes doesn’t do what you expect:

If you are standing and attempt the Grenade Launcher, it may work or not depending on what your target is doing. If your target is threatening you; attempting the Grenade Launcher will instead switch your weapon and use shotgun rounds until the target is dead, you crouch, or you force a weapon change.

If you are standing and your enemy is not otherwise threatening you, you will launch the grenade and then shoot an extra shotgun round just before the grenade explodes (using 3 total shotgun rounds).

How to counter these features:

If you are crouching and attempt the Grenade Launcher, you will always launch the grenade (assuming you have the ammo) and you will never shoot the extra shotgun round before the grenade explodes.

If you are already using the shotgun and attempt the Grenade Launcher, you will always launch a grenade (assuming you have the ammo).

The stasis shot of the assault rifle is much better. But I have a question: why does the launched grenade always act like a frag grenade? It should be better if it acts like an incendiary if we have an incendiary shotgun, and same for acid!

Grenade launcher is a separate weapon and not depends on a shotgun type…

But if it’s separate shouldn’t its damage be the same whether your shotgun does 100 or 1000 damage. Also, if it was REALLY separate then it should use 1 G1 Frag grenade as ammo each shot just with it’s own cool down timer independent from thrown grenades, not use 2 shotgun shells.

Hi, can I please get a step by step guide as to how to access the tactics & strategy section of the research centre?
