Is the M3 SMG better than the acid pistol against armored target ?
Acid weapons are more powerful against armored targets than energy weapons (which is what the M3 SMG is).
NOTE: If you hit the profile button (at the bottom left of the screen), and then select the second box from the left on top (with the X in the middle and the dotted lines), you’ll see that acid weapons will inflict 130% damage on armored targets whereas energy weapons only do 50% damage.
Yes of course, I already know that, the fact is that the M3 deal more base damage than the acid (56 vs 48 at full upgrade) and he has a faster fire rate too ! So… It’s a dilemma ^^
If M3’s base damage is 56 at full upgrade, then as an energy weapon, its armor damage will be 28 (50%).
If the acid gun’s base is 48 at full upgrade, then its armor damage will be 62.4 (130%). That’s almost 225% more armor damage than the M3 !
M3 SMG IS DEFINETLY a better gun than the acid pistol.the fire rate is a lot better and it has more bullets in the cartridge.so for the early stages of the game it is very nice and handy to have around.i highly recommend Buying it as the next gun after the acid pistol.
