What do people think, is the Terminator worth getting? Is it that much better than Matryoshka?
I’m not that interested in the PvP side of the game so the armored benefits are minimal to me.
I am also a third of the way through the Gate sector and I can see Hank on the horizon, will the Terminator help me get through the rest of the Gate and to Hank much easier than Matryoshka?
I don’t have a lot of gems and don’t want to waste them on purchases I won’t really use (like I did with KKND, hard lesson learnt)
There is no really difference between Hank and Terminator (though Hank has a bit more health). You can easily get to Hank with Matryoshka.
By the way, Matryoshka causes about the same damage as Hank (her shots are rarely, but stronger).

So, I am level 16 at the momment and I was wondering, if I started saving upon gems now -I can’t buy them unfortunately- by choosing all gem rewards from the missions, would I be able ot have enough of them to buy Terminator-kingpin?
Probably yes, but it is also probable that you’re not going to finish the game only choosing all gem rewards from the missions because at some point you’ll also need the other rewards!
Hmm, yeah, I know, I’ll try to find a balance. After all, not all quests give gem rewards, nonetheless thank you
I chose to plateau myself at two levels — one at around levels 28-30, and currently at 39. I have several unfinished areas that I pushed through to get the UFO Pistol and Prometheus armor, which makes fighting the random missions (for gem rewards) very easy. I also have Anomaly Decay at level 5, and often leave the game up and running and check it every 30-60 minutes to get anomalies and their gems. That means I’m earning ~100-200 gems/day depending on how much I play. (I have 6 turrets, all upgraded to Black Hydra, which stops Base Attack enemies 99% of the time — so I can leave the game running and not have to repair my base.)
From what I’ve read elsewhere, it seemed wisest to stock up on resources before hitting level 40 (when random missions get much harder). That way when Boombird and Terminator-Kingpin come up I can snag them. As a side benefit, this means I’ve also got about ~1000 U-2 Medpacks and ~800 U-2 Grenades to use freely later in the game, almost a thousand medals to upgrade partners and weapons when I get them, and ~80k Biofuel to purchase terraforms, non-premium partners, etc. along the way from mid-game to end-game.
This approach takes a little while — I’ve spent a few weeks grinding — but all told it’s not that bad, gives practice at fight strategy (I’m now a master of the 20% reload bonus), and takes less time to get the resources up front than when enemies are harder to beat.
DO NOT go past level 39 if you take this approach. That’s when random mission difficulty steps up dramatically.

Oh, also, the PvP side of the game is very worth it for the increased mission awards. So don’t brush it off. Once I hit 2k, things got much better; I’m now above 4k and it’s awesome. You’ll earn gems much faster with a higher ranking.
Finish the the Anomaly Decay tech until the end… It’s 5 levels and they are easy to get. That way you’ll get some gems at those anomalies that appears randomly in terraformed terrains!
wow fenwick… u have waited quite a lot to collect 1000 u2 and 800 g2 grenades… but frankly i think boombird is not worth buying, terminator too if u are not interested in pvp… also, for doing all the upgrades for weapons and partners will require much more than 1000 medals… as each partner/weapon on an avg, takes 450 medals…
do not let ur biofuel fall below 70k… it will be required later… also… collect some tactics points as well and do not spend it all…
Though terminator has 2 machine guns as arms, but they sure shoot like an slow pistol, this parner is as bad is KKND, in my opinion premium stuff should be better than standard weapons/partners and armors, but they sure are laughable, as it comes to acid cannon is best in choice weapon, even as main weapon, slow fire speed, good dmg output, means you wount waste much ammo, and easy to collect the resorces to build 100 ammo,anyway dont spend ur gems on this partner, only fokes wich does it want the premium stuff, they all sux even kurbatovs pistol when it comes to last piatol ingame, not worth is, dominion pistol deals almost as much dmg, and you complete the game by jus without any premium stuff, and you can complete the game very easy only using Moloch or Acid cannon, both weapons are standard and cost very little to build up, if you compair to premium stuff, gemwise
Well, terminator seems to have a little bigger DPS than Hank, but little less HP. I would wait for Hank (easy to get there with Matryoshka).

As a partner terminator Kingping has missile launcher he never uses it, it is only used as an enemy on the story line.
If he would have launched missiles as a partner then it’d have been awesome, but it sucks.
And Chosen by Xi armor doesn’t have almost immortality in PVE as in PVP and Fido doesn’t have missiles like in mission “In pursuit of a spider-infestor” and some armor doesn’t have bulletproof in PVE, why don’t you talking about that?

as for chosen by X I armour, I almost forget it. Sorry my bad. And for Fido, it’s really puny missile, so it doesn’t really matter. Which armour is bulletproof in PVE but not in PVP, I don’t know. Maybe I I didn’t reach that level, anyways thank you.
