Excavations is a secondary story-line location. Here the Dominion started drilling into the planet.

(each successful battle reduces the price by 60)

Do I need to terraform the Beacon sector before I can unlock the Excavacations sector? I am halfway through the Incubator sector and haven’t discovered the excavacations sector.

no, any secondary location is available by hacking certain vaults… do the hacks at beacon ( 2nd one i think) and u will get a note for excavations…
btw… it requires damage>1000/sec or 300 gems… so be ready for that…
Hi, what happens after terraforming this sector? I really don’t want to spend the 20k of energy in that. Thanks.
i think nothing happens, except there will a few more lines of conversation and you see a terraformed sector… the terraformed pic is in this site, and i didnt bother to do it at all…
