Elizabeth
According to my data, the base where Kronos trained people with psionic abilities for the Phoenix project is around here somewhere.

Margaret
Now that’s a missile… I just adore giant weapons!
Elizabeth
It must be one of the Phoenix prototypes. The psionics used it to practice operating missiles with their mental power.

Margaret
Commander, I found an interesting document among the deceased’s possessions!
It’s a message that lists the conditions for releasing a certain prisoner by the name of Jaafar.
It looks like they captured this Jaafar to demand a ransom. And the dead bandit was supposed to deliver the kidnappers’ demands. But he didn’t make it – the spiders interfered.
Commander
Can it be that no one knew that Jaafar was kidnapped? Does this mean that the bandits will receive no ransom and kill the prisoner?
Margaret
Most likely… They would hardly let him go now that the messenger failed to get back.
Commander
We must save the poor guy!
Schroeder
Commander, are you sure that it is worth interrupting out mission to save some local?
Commander
So far, we have only found enemies on Utopia. And this Jaafar is probably influential, they might give a good reward for rescuing him. Such an ally would be very useful to us.
Margaret
I’ll take a look and find out where they demanded the ransom to be delivered…
Unfortunately, there are no precise coordinates, only the region is indicated. It is a place called “Outpost”, I’ll put its approximate coordinates on the map.

Outpost (Side Story) >>>

Schroeder
The base looks abandoned. At least there are no traces of any recent human activity.

Margaret
Something fishy was happening here… Why did the Kronos corporation need to create such a powerful weapon?
Adam Cruise wanted to build cities, not weapons. What was the target of these missiles? Who were they aimed at?
Anderson
Maybe he was trying to protect Utopia from extraterrestrial threats?
Think of the terraforming technology that was found here – clear evidence of another civilisation. What if the former masters of the planet decided to come back?
Margaret
What was the point of hiding it then? People would be happy to know that their dear daddy Cruise had guns at the ready, aimed at the pestilent aliens.
Commander
Something else bothers me even more… Why use Psi power to operate a weapon?
That’s the key question to this entire mystery. When we find the answer to it, everything else will become clear.

Commander
Here we are at the base. This is where Adam Cruise developed Psi powers in people. What next, Elizabeth?
Elizabeth
We need to get to those terminals. There might still be some information there about the Psi power research.

Elizabeth
Commander, I’ve received the data about the Kronos experiment with the Psi power awakening in human beings.
Unfortunately, all the research materials, including the documents and equipment, have been taken away. We won’t be able to repeat the experiment and obtain the Psi power without them.

Commander
Have you determined where Cruise relocated the research base to?
Elizabeth
Yes. And I think, it’s bad news. He continued his research on a ship that was disguised as one of the numerous Kronos dry cargoes.
The ship was to cruise along some secret route keeping off the land as long as the psi power awakening experiment was over.
Commander
It is interesting why was Cruise making so much efforts to conceal the project? What was he afraid of?
Elizabeth
I have no answer to this question, Commander. We don’t even know if the ship has survived the cataclysm or not. The only thing we have is the ship’s name – Elysium.
Schroeder
Wait a minute, Elisium? I think I know something useful.
I came across a guard near the bunker and we… umph… chatted a little. He was happy to tell me that their people had started concentrating forces near that Elysium.
Commander
Not confusing anything, Shroeder? The Elysium is a ship, after all. And it probably sunk during the cataclysm.
Schroeder
I always use the facts, Commander. As far as I understood from the interrogation, a tsunami washed the ship ashore, and now it is swarming with Kingpin’s fighters.
Margaret
If the bandits are interested in the laboratory-ship, they know not only about the Phoenix project but about the Psi powers experiments as well. We have underestimated them!
I’m sure if we get to those who control the bandits having occupied Elisium, we’ll learn a lot of new!
Commander
Yes, at the moment all the clues lead to that ship. Let’s waste no time! I hope the materials on the Psi power awakening experiment are still in the ship’s hold.
